They say a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. So, let’s get started, make some progress, get a little better each day, each week. Let’s put one foot in front of the other , because we know we are in it for the long haul. It’s about exercise for its own sake, for our own health & fitness. We’re only competing against ourselves, against yesterday’s version of us. We know slow and steady wins the race, or maybe even just completes it. We come in all shapes and sizes, we start by accepting ourselves as we are. Our exercising is educated, science-based, evidence-based. We set modest goals and achieve them in a calm, quiet and focused way . We focus on substance, getting fit, staying healthy, getting strong, lifting heavy, working, maybe even working hard. Or maybe not, because even just working is OK. Our style is our substantive achievements over time. We address ourselves to the fundamental human movement patterns, controlling the eccentric phase of our lifts, exercising the full range of motion. We note our starting position, then our progress over time, step by committed step. We support each other, acknowledging & celebrating our own and each other’s progress over time.
